About the Event
The French-Swiss jazz trio UNITRIO presents PICASSO, a musical interpretation of the works of the outstanding artist, combining jazz and visual art into a unified experience.
The project was born on the road – during the trio's tour, sharing ideas about music inspired by another artist's creative work. This idea naturally led to Pablo Picasso, whose paintings' emotional power and visual language became a source of inspiration for a new sound.
In the album Page 3: Picasso (released by Fresh Sound New Talent), the trio offers a musical interpretation of works such as Buste de Femme, Femmes d’Alger d’après Delacroix, The Acrobat, La nouvelle ronde de la jeunesse and Massacre en Corée. Each composer interprets the selected painting through their own perspective, creating a dialogue between sound and painting.
