Noam Lemish Quartet [CA]

On February 21, Noam Lemish will perform at M/House of Jazz, presenting his quartet with renowned Canadian jazz musicians in Riga. Lemish is a Toronto-based artist whose creative work focuses on original music, acoustic instrumentation, and a contemporary approach to jazz.

The quartet includes several prominent representatives of the Canadian jazz scene — Sundar Viswanathan (alto saxophone), Andrew Downing (double bass) and Nick Fraser (drums). Each of the musicians is active both as a performer and recording artist, regularly participating in international projects and festivals.

The concert will feature material from the upcoming album, which reveals Lemish's interest as a composer in form, harmony, and collective improvisation.

This concert offers an opportunity to get to know a current Canadian jazz project in the process of its creation.
