About the Event
Laryssa Kim is an Italian-Congolese vocalist, composer, and producer based in Brussels. In her concerts, she works with her voice as her main instrument—the voice is layered (looped), processed, and combined with electronics and electroacoustic textures.
This concert is an opportunity to hear an internationally acclaimed project: Laryssa Kim's album Contezza has been reviewed by Pitchfork, highlighting its electroacoustic arrangements and multilingual vocals. At the same time, it is a rare opportunity in Riga to meet an artist whose practice organically combines a concert music approach with the electronic stage (composer, performer, and DJ).
The performance takes place as part of the Pink Noise Riga festival, which consistently offers international jazz and contemporary music concerts in Riga.
