JAZZ JAM | Sophus Bech Quintet

Sophus Bech (DK) is a young Danish saxophonist & composer who puts renewed focus on strong melodies and creative interplay. His original music draws inspiration from the New York jazz tradition while blending elements of Nordic jazz, folk music, and 1970s pop/rock, resulting in a sound that is both grounded and exploratory. Sophus is currently living in Riga, Latvia, where he is studying at JVLMA for a Master's degree in jazz.

This evening, Sophus and his international quintet will present new original tunes, mixed with a few jazz standards.

After the concert, there will be an open jam session, to which other musicians and music enthusiasts are also invited to participate.
