Funk, jazz, and fusion energy in one evening – Big Heavy returns to M/House of Jazz!
This musical ensemble was founded in 2023 and has become a prominent part of the Latvian jazz and funk scene in just two years. Big Heavy concerts feature musicians from Latvia and the Baltics in various combinations, with up to eleven performers often coming together on stage to create a powerful, dynamic and improvisational sound.The program includes legendary funk, jazz-funk, and fusion compositions by such masters as Freddie Hubbard, Herbie Hancock, and John Scofield, as well as original compositions by Big Heavy.
