About the Event
Ventspils Big Band is a powerful and lively ensemble consisting of students and teachers from Ventspils Music College. The Big Band actively performs at the Latvija Concert Hall, playing both popular and jazz music programs.
The ensemble consists of six saxophones, three trumpets, three trombones, a rhythm section, and vocals.The program, created especially for this concert, will feature jazz classics and contemporary arrangements, with a special focus on improvisation. The evening will be filled with many instrumental solos, powerful energy, rhythm, rich harmonies, and melodies.
🎤 Special guests: talented singers Rebeka Rēķe and Gerda Timrota (Riga Dome Choir School), as well as the outstanding trombonist Vadims Dimitrijevs.
