About the Event
On March 21, M/Darbnīca will host Rahel Talts Quartet, an international jazz ensemble led by Estonian pianist and composer Rahel Talts. The quartet consists of musicians from Estonia, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway who met while studying in Denmark.
The group's sound is energetic, acoustic and melodic jazz with influences from Baltic and Nordic folk music. In addition to original compositions, the program will also feature arrangements of Estonian folk songs.
Their latest album, Back and Forth, was released in November 2025 and has gained attention in the European jazz scene. Their previous album, Greener Grass (2023), took the quartet on concert tours in Europe and Asia, as well as to festivals such as Jazz Baltica, Copenhagen Jazz Festival and Jazzkaar.
