March 7, M/House of Jazz – Estonian Jazz Evening in collaboration with Jazzkaar

On Friday, March 7, M/House of Jazz will host an Estonian Jazz Evening in collaboration with the Tallinn International Jazz Festival Jazzkaar. The program features two different but conceptually contemporary projects representing different lines of development in Estonian jazz: vocally oriented original music and rhythmically focused contemporary jazz.

6:00 p.m. – Kadri Voorand & Raul Ojamaa

The evening will be opened by singer and composer Kadri Voorand in a duet with guitarist Raul Ojamaa. Voorand is one of Estonia's most internationally recognized jazz artists, combining the principles of jazz improvisation, structured composition, and elements of popular music in her work. Her creative work is characterized by precisely crafted form, polyrhythms and multi-layered vocal textures.

The duo format provides for a concentrated musical dialogue, where dynamic interaction, timbral nuances and structured improvisation play an essential role. The program…
