About the Event
On Saturdays in February – February 7, 21.02. and 28.02. – we invite children and young people (and adults too!) to a new Saturday tradition, “Children’s Jazz”, which offers children the opportunity to get to know jazz in an authentic, cozy and child-friendly environment. During the concerts, children will be able to listen to live jazz music and learn about jazz in an understandable and engaging way.
Tickets:
€30 – child (up to 12 years old) + one accompanying adult
€20 – separate ticket for a child or adult
The February concert program will be created by saxophonist Kristaps Lubovs, who is an active member of the band Very Cool People, the Latvian Radio Big Band, and the band The Sound Poets.The program will feature original compositions by Latvian jazz and improvisational musicians, themes from jazz masters, as well as children's favorite pieces in new, melodious versions.
