JAZZ SEXTET | International performance | Pettit/ Leach/ Goowdin/ Saržants/ Grunte/ Porter
The concert will feature compositions by famous jazz legends Art Blakey, Charles Mingus, and others, performed by a sextet that has never been heard in Latvia. These three musicians will be joined by drummer Fay Porter (USA), trumpeter Josh Goodwin (USA), and local double bassist Andris Grunte.

Darens Petits (Darren Pettit) (ASV) ir mūzikas teorijas un kompozīcijas nodaļas asociētais profesors Nebraskas universitātē, Omahā, kā arī saksofonists, kurš daudzus gadus piedalījies koncertturnejās kopā ar dažādiem Amerikas bigbendiem – Jim Widner Big Band, the Omaha big Band, the Las Vegas Lab Band kopā ar Mike Gurcuillo, the Nebraska Jazz Orchestra, tāpat arī ar the Omaha Symphony, the Omaha Community Playhouse, kā arī Randy Brecker, Diane Schuur, Debbie Boone, Delbert McClinton, the Temptations, David Foster, Michael Buble, Frankie Valli un daudziem citiem.
Kriss Līčs (Chris Leach (Christopher Leach)) (ASV) ir pianists, trombonists un pedagogs, kā arī Omahas universitātes doktorantūras students. Uzstājies kopā ar tādām slavenībām, kā Ērnijs Vatts (Ernie Watts), Skots Vitfīlds (Scott Whitfield), Džekija Allena (Jackie Allen) un citiem.
Krists Saržants (LV) ir džeza, laikmetīgās un starpžanru mūzikas komponists-pianists. Koncertējot Latvijā, Igaunijā, Dānijā, Vācijā, ASV un citās valstīs, viņš ir sadarbojies ar tādiem mūziķiem un sastāviem…
